Immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine

For over two years now Roz and I have been praying for another baby. We were so happy last year when we found out Roz was pregnant and so sad when Roz miscarried.

In June we found out about the possibility of adopting Evie and a week after we decided to go for the adoption, that Roz was pregnant again! The timing was incredible. If we had known we were pregnant we probably would not have considered adopting, and after deciding to adopt Evie we would have stopped trying to have a baby. This was the only way we would be on for both.

The last two months have been a bit crazy- we have a brand new daughter with us and Roz has been feeling tired out by pregnancy. It has also been scary- we have been worried about another miscarriage and also that the adoption may fall through.

We still worry about those things from time to time, but what is certain is the goodness of God. What an answer to our prayers! I wish I could explain how I felt holding my tiny daughter Evie in my hands as I listened to the heartbeat of my as yet unborn child. God is so good.

He really has given us immeasurably more than we asked or imagined. Also today we celebrate our wedding anniversary- seven years!

  1. That’s awesome news Roz and Ben 🙂 Congratulations on the adoption of Evie, the news of your little mini Powell and also seven years of marriage! Incredible times for you all!

  2. Lots of congratulations 🙂 xxxxx

  3. Wow!!!!! Congratulations!!!

  4. This is such exciting news. I know you will make great parents for your rapidly expanding family. What a tremendous answer to prayer.
